About Mizzoni's Auto Body

Your Premier Lodi NJ Body Shop

A Legacy of Collision Repair Specialists in Lodi Since 1967

From a Backstreet Shop to a Bergen County Landmark

When Fred Mizzoni Sr. opened our doors in 1967, Mizzoni’s Auto Body was a humble, seven-technician garage, providing the drivers of Bergen County with honest, high-quality collision repairs.

Today, that small garage has transformed into a state-of-the-art collision center staffed by a dedicated team of 30 professionals. Our facility now features the industry’s most advanced technology, yet our mission remains to serve our neighbors with superior repair quality and the best customer support in New Jersey.

Family Owned & Operated by the Mizzoni Brothers

A family-owned business for over 50 years, Mizzoni’s combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Fred and Rick were raised in the bays of the original Lodi shop, where they mastered the art of traditional auto body work.

Building on that reputable foundation, the Mizzoni brothers transitioned the business to computerized structural repair, ensuring precision for modern vehicles.

What should you look for in an auto body shop?

When selecting an auto body shop, prioritize facilities with ASE or I-CAR Gold Class certified technicians, a strong reputation, and written warranties on repairs.

Some key factors to evaluate a car repair shop include:

Certifications & Training

ASE or I-CAR Gold Class certifications indicate OEM parts, advanced equipment, and up-to-date training in modern vehicle repair.

Reputation & Reviews

Check online reviews and local reputation.

Warranty/Guarantee

Reliable shops should offer a written warranty on their work, often for as long as you own the vehicle.

At Mizzoni’s, we proudly tick every box—contact us today for a free auto repair quote.

What is the difference between an auto body shop and a mechanic?

The main difference is structure vs. function. While mechanics focus on the functional components that make a vehicle run and perform routine maintenance, auto body shops focus on the aesthetics, safety structure, and exterior of the vehicle.

Choosing the right facility depends on the specific requirements of the job:

Mechanic Shop

Select a mechanic for engine diagnostics, oil changes, brake repairs, and transmission service.

Whether you need a structural safety assessment or a precision paint match, our team is here to guide you through the restoration process. We also handle all associated mechanical repairs to ensure your vehicle is restored to OEM standards and backed by our lifetime warranty.

More Than a Body Shop : Our Lodi Community Roots

At Mizzoni’s Auto Body, we believe serving Lodi means more than just fixing cars. We were honored to join the New Jersey State Police in supporting the David’s Touch Foundation, collecting new, unwrapped toys for their Annual Holiday Toy Drive. For us, being a family-owned business since 1967 means contributing to such causes and extending our standard of care beyond the repair bay.

Do auto body shops offer warranties?

Yes, many reputable auto body shops offer warranties on their repair work that can range from 90 days to a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. These guarantees vary by facility and generally cover labor, paint application, and specific replacement parts.

When reviewing a collision repair warranty, consider these factors:

Coverage

Warranties usually cover defects in workmanship, such as paint peeling, cracking, or issues with installed parts.

Duration

While 1–2 years is the industry standard, premier shops often provide a lifetime warranty for as long as you own the vehicle.

Exclusions

Warranties typically exclude damage from subsequent accidents, lack of maintenance, or normal wear and tear, and are generally non-transferable.

Our I-CAR and ASE-certified technicians ensure that every repair meets rigorous industry standards. That is why Mizzoni’s Auto Body confidently backs every job with a Lifetime Warranty for as long as you own your vehicle.
