Acura MDX Type S Repairs After a T-Bone Collision

This Acura MDX Type S came to our shop after a T-bone collision at the intersection of Main Street and Harrison Avenue in Lodi, NJ.

The accident damaged both driver-side doors, the driver-side front fender, the rear quarter panel, and the rear bumper. The impact also bent the vehicle’s frame and deployed the left curtain airbag.

For this Acura MDX Type S, we completed a careful teardown and pre-repair diagnostic scan to identify hidden damage, airbag faults, and electronic issues. During the inspection, our team found the following damage:

Both driver-side doors were severely dented and scraped.

Driver-side rear quarter panel was bent above the wheel opening.

Front driver-side fender was bent near the door seam.

Driver-side curtain airbag deployed.

Frame required straightening.

Rear bumper cover was damaged beyond repair and required replacement.
